  2. Click "Convert to Images" – The tool renders each page, compresses as JPEG, and prepares them for download.

⚙️ Technical Details

We use pdf.js to render each page at 1.5x scale for crisp images. The canvas is then converted to a JPEG blob with 90% quality using canvas.toBlob(). All blobs are stored in memory so you can download them individually or combined into a ZIP using JSZip.

Limitations: Very large PDFs (over 50MB or 100 pages) may result in huge ZIP files and could be slow. For best results, split your PDF first.

🧐 Frequently Asked Questions

Can I choose PNG instead of JPEG?

Currently, the tool outputs JPEG for smaller file sizes. If you need PNG (lossless), you can use other tools, but JPEG offers a good balance for most uses.

Will the images be the same size as the PDF pages?

We render at 1.5x scale, so images are 1.5 times the original PDF dimensions (at 72 DPI). This improves quality without making files enormous.

Is it really private?

Yes. All processing happens in your browser; no data is uploaded to any server.

What does the sample PDF contain?

A 2‑page PDF with colorful shapes – perfect for testing the conversion.
